Dr. Benjamin Papoi
Dr. Benjamin Papoi graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1990 and served in the USAF as an Intelligence Officer prior to matriculation to medical school. Dr. Papoi graduated from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, With his background in Primary Care, Emergency Room and Urgent Care medicine in both traditional and nontraditional settings, the “Country Doctor” is happy to have his office home in Damascus. He also serves as a Flight Surgeon in the Maryland Air National Guard. Dr. Papoi lives in Baltimore with his family.
Dana Papoi
Mackenzie’s step-mother feels so fortunate to have had such a wonderful daughter. “Mackenzie had a huge heart and was always giving of herself in so many ways.” To continue honoring Mackenzie’s giving spirit, Dana was the impetus to start the free clinic Mac frequently mentioned. With emotional support from family and friends, Dana completed the many tasks needed to start Mackenzie’s Place, becoming the driving force behind free health care in Damascus and surrounding areas. Dana is excited to work with her husband on this special endeavor and knows that Mackenzie is very proud of what her parents are doing for others.
